Mayville State University’s English programs prepare students for careers, life-long learning, citizenship, cultural enhancement, and problem solving. Core requirements provide a comprehensive overview of basic materials and a commitment to innovative technology-enriched education and learning relationships with community, employers, and society.
English Education majors must complete 36 hours of essential studies. The following Essential Studies courses require a minimum grade of "C": COMM 110, ENGL 110, ENGL 120 or ENGL 125, GEOG 103, MATH 103 or MATH 104 and PSYC 111. These courses are pre-requisite courses to this major.

Students will also be required to complete a minor (varied in credits) or second major.
