SPED 583 Intellectual Disability Practicum

This clinical course is designed for students pursuing a degree in special education, with a focus on individuals with intellectual disabilities. The course includes a 60-hour field experience in a regional school or external agency that serves individuals with intellectual disabilities. During this field experience, students will apply theoretical concepts and methods learned in their coursework. They will implement an action research intervention plan and complete other assignments as outlined in their accompanying methods course.

Note: Students must have an approved background check and liability insurance before beginning the field experience.
