HPER 345 Methods of Group Exercise Instruction

This course will develop safe, effective and highly motivating workouts that make a difference in participants' health and wellness. Group exercise will encourages interaction and will enhance emotional as well as physical fitness. The class will study the industry , with emphasis on current trends, including traditional cardiorespiratory programs of stationary indoor cycling, sport conditioning, water exercise, kickboxing, yoga, muscular conditioning, and flexibility classes. Understanding the fundamentals of group exercise instruction, primary components of group exercise, group exercise modalities and implementing group classes will be studied. Fall.
