Sociology Minor

Sociology is the discipline that explores how people live in society, in their families, in groups, and in institutions. This field of study also emphasizes the values and beliefs of a people. Other upper-level courses in sociology deepen and broaden a student’s understanding of present-day society.
Sociology minors must complete 36 hours of essential studies, and all institutional requirements. The following Essential Studies courses are required: COMM 110, ENGL 110, ENGL 120 or ENGL 125, GEOG 103, MATH 103, PSYC 111, and SOC 110. These courses are pre-requisite courses for this minor.
