HIST 395 Nazi Germany and the Holocaust
This course begins with a study of the development of anti-Semitism from Biblical times through the Middle Ages to Modern times and the role it played in the Nazi rise to power in Germany. The second section of the course deals with the road to World War II; the development of Nazi policies related to the Final Solution (Holocaust); the various methods of carrying out the Final Solution (Holocaust); and the response of the Jewish people. The course concludes with the Nuremberg War Crimes Trial (IMT) and other trials of the Nazi war criminals. Prerequisite: ENGL 120, or consent of instructor.
