HIST 319 Colonial and Revolutionary America
This course begins by emphasizing the founding of the original thirteen colonies and their political, social and economic development. The second phase of the course traces the events that lead to the American Revolution, and the contrasting views of governmental powers, the War, and the Treaty of Paris in 1783 and concludes with the writing of the Constitution and a study of its Articles. Prerequisite: ENGL 120 or consent of instructor.
