PSYC 470 Introduction to Counseling Theories
An exploration of basic theories and methods of counseling including psychoanalytic, Adlerian, existential, person-centered, Gestalt, reality, and cognitive-behavior with integration of multicultural approaches. The purpose of this course is to provide students with the opportunity to examine different areas of counseling and to introduce students to this profession. Students will also become acquainted with career opportunities in the field of counseling psychology including academic preparation and graduate programs in counseling.
