PSYC 435 Biopsychology
Biopsychology is an interdisciplinary field that explores the intricate relationship between biological processes and psychological phenomena. This course examines the structure and function of the nervous system, the role of neurotransmitters, and the biological basis of behavior. Topics include sensory perception, emotion, memory, learning, and the effects of genetics and environment on psychological health.
By the end of the course, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of how biological systems influence behavior. The psychopharmacology of drugs and drug abuse will also be incorporated and addressed.
Prerequisite: PSYC 111.
