MUSC 350 Instrumental Pedagogy

The instrumental pedagogy course covers brass, woodwind, and percussion instruments through learning, application, and performance. Students will be introduced to the various instrument family, learn technical aspects, and will be able to perform at a level that would allow them to appropriately demonstrate the instrument. Students will also compile sources, methods, and develop procedures that allow them to be successful in teaching or performance. Students will teach introductory lessons on various instruments at several points throughout the semester and may also have opportunities to perform in instrumental ensembles.
