MUSC 200 Music in America
A historical survey of music in America from pre-colonial times through the twentieth century, including classical, ethic, folk, and popular traditions. Class will include listening skills and writing about music. This class may be used to fulfill the humanities requirement in Essential Studies. If the student does not plan to take the Music minor, they can take any of the other courses listed under the humanities Essential Studies requirement with the exception of HUM 220. Fall, Spring.
