Withdrawal from the University
Students who find it necessary to withdraw from the University should complete the Cancellation/Withdrawal Form. This procedure is extremely important both to the student and to the University because course grades, refunds, bills, financial aid, and on-campus housing are involved. If students feel it necessary to withdraw from school, they are advised to do so before the deadline for dropping classes. To avoid establishing a record of failing grades, students should pay attention to this deadline.
Cancellation of Registration
Cancellation of registration prior to the beginning of the semester is the student’s responsibility. Students may officially cancel their registration before the first day of the semester by completing the Cancellation/Withdrawal Form. The date of the official cancellation will be the date the student’s form is received by the Academic Records Office.
- Log into Campus Connection > eForms > Cancel/Withdraw to Zero
- Students will receive a confirmation email when the form is submitted
- Students will receive an email of the completed cancellation request
Official Withdrawal
Beginning the first day of class, students withdrawing from all coursework must complete a Cancellation/Withdrawal Request. The date of the official withdrawal will be the date the student’s form is received by Academic Records Office.
- Log into Campus Connection > eForms > Cancel/Withdraw to Zero
- Students will receive a confirmation email when the form is submitted
- Students cannot withdraw by attempting to drop all their classes in Campus Connection
- Campus Connection will alert students with an error message that the attempt was not successful
- Students wishing to withdraw will not receive any academic credits for the classes within that term
- This includes classes that have already been completed
- Refunds resulting from a withdrawal are calculated based on the class length
Instructions on how to complete the Cancel/Withdraw to Zero request can be accessed here.
