Registration Action – Adding or Dropping Courses

Students may add or drop 16-week session courses using Campus Connection the first 10 calendar days of the semester. After that time, each registration change (add/drop) requires the following procedures:

Note: 5-week and 8-week session courses follow these procedures with their own set of due dates. Contact the Office of Academic Records for more details.

Dropping Courses

Dropping occurs when a student wishes to discontinue enrollment in a particular class but wants to remain enrolled in at least one other class during the term.

  • Here are directions on how to drop a class.
  • If you are attempting to drop a course after the first 10 days of the semester, you will need to initiate a Registration Action Form to complete the drop.
  • Students cannot drop their final class through Campus Connection. Dropping the last class is considered withdrawing from the term and must be processed using the Cancellation/Withdrawal Form.

Dates and Deadlines
In order to receive 100% refund the request must be received on or before the 10th day of class during Fall and Spring semesters.

Note: The student may receive a failing grade on their academic record if the procedure is not followed.

Note: Students cannot drop to zero courses on Campus Connection. This is considered a withdrawal from school. See Withdrawal from the University.
