SPED 388 Autism Spectrum Disorders
This course delves into the historical context, causes, and characteristics of the autism spectrum. Students will explore a variety of instructional strategies, including techniques for academic skill development, early communication, language acquisition, social skills, applied behavior analysis, and managing challenging behaviors. Additionally, the course will investigate instructional opportunities beyond traditional educational settings. Students will also conduct research on course-related topics to deepen their understanding and contribute to the field.
