The B.A.S. degree is a flexible degree plan designed specifically to serve the advanced educational needs of a student who has earned an Associate of Arts (A.A.), Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.), an Associate of Science (A.S.), or other Applied Associate degrees.

To be admitted to the B.A.S. program, a student must have complete an Associate degree from a regionally accredited institution or within 12 semester hours of completion of an Associate Degree. The Associate degree will transfer as a block and the student will complete a “capstone” type of program.

Students who have completed most but not all of the prerequisites can still explore the B.A.S. program. Students may be able to complete the remaining 12 semester hours within the first semester of the program. Mayville State University offers an Associates of Arts program in Business Management to allow for completion of an Associate’s Degree for admission to the B.A.S. program.

The B.A.S. degree allows students to use their previous coursework and enhance their knowledge by enrolling in additional essential studies and professional courses to meet their career goals.
