PSYC 370 Psychology of Abnormal Behavior

Students in this course will review historical perspectives on the identification of abnormal behavior and psychological disorders. Special emphasis will be given to discussing difference between adaptive and maladaptive behavior, as well as to appreciating ethnic/cultural difference. An overview of the system used for diagnosis, specific assessment techniques, and empirically supported treatments for psychological disorders will be provided. Prerequisite: PSYC 111. Spring.
