MATH 104 Finite Math

This course is intended for non-science and non-math majors who need to fulfill the general education math requirement who do not need additional, higher-level math courses.  The course will provide students a good foundation in mathematics that arise in real world applications.  Topics may include linear equations and inequalities, counting techniques, elementary probability and statistics, game theory and geometry.  This course does not provide the mathematical background to prepare students for further studies in Calculus. Prerequisites: ASC 093 with grade of C or higher, ACT score of 21 or higher, or placement test. This is an essential studies course.
