HIST 250 Survey of Scandinavian History

Coverage of selected topics from the Viking age until the present in the history of Northern Europe, including the modern nations of Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, and Iceland. Individual topics address the interaction of this region with the rest of the world. This course does not attempt to be comprehensive, but highlights particular topics and themes with emphasis on the twentieth century. Prerequisite: ENGL 120 or ENGL 125, HIST 101, or consent of instructor. Spring 2019 (3 year rotation).
