ENGL 415 Environmental/Indigenous Literature and Global Ecological Writing

This course is equally designed as both a reading and writing course focused on reading from a diverse canon of environmental literature that represents multiple cultural, ethnic, socioeconomic, and gendered perspectives, which then propels us to engage with the rich global tradition of writing from one’s local, ecological perspective. This course focuses particularly on the theory of ecological design and place-based education and will therefore emphasize local indigenous cultures, perspectives, readings, and communication methods.  Pre-requisites: ENGL 110 and ENGL 120 or ENGL 125.
