Music Minor
Required credits for this minor: 22-25
Mayville State’s Music Minor program is designed to allow busy students to keep doing what they love. With a more streamlined set of course requirements, students can complete the music minor with 22-25 credits. The music minor compliments most majors and is open to all students on campus.
Mayville State’s music department offers large ensemble performance opportunities with our concert band, concert choir, and jazz ensemble. Ensemble participation scholarships are available to anyone that wants to be involved in our large ensembles. Lessons in piano, voice, or instrument are also an elective to all students. Courses in music theory and music history are also available, providing a complete music program experience.
Students completing a music minor with their education major are able to teach music grades K-8. Additional scholarship funding is available to music minors.
