The Division of Business supports the institutional mission by preparing professionally educated business professionals. The division provides students with life-long skills necessary to function in a rapidly changing world of work. This is accomplished through a range of programs, including Bachelor of Science degrees in Business Administration and Accounting, a Master of Science in Leadership, a Bachelor of Applied Science in Business Administration, and an Associate of Arts in Business Management.
To support the achievement of the Division's goals, all programs provide students with:
- Communication skills - learning experiences that strengthen reading, writing, speaking, and listening, while complementing the Essential Studies program;
- Technological proficiency - advanced skills in using technology to solve work-related problems;
- Critical thinking and decision-making - the ability to make rational decisions using critical and creative thinking and appropriate problem-solving techniques in business environments;
- Applied business knowledge - opportunities to apply core business concepts to real-world work functions;
- Practical experience - direct work experiences in business and industry; and
- Foundation for advancement - the skills and knowledge needed for successful pursuit of advanced education.
