Early Childhood B.A.

The Early Childhood program will allow Early Childhood educators to further their professional growth. Its philosophy incorporates the Reflective Experiential Model of Mayville State University’s Teacher Education program. The program will prepare students to work in various leadership positions, including Early Childhood Education teachers, Early Childhood administrators, supervisors, curriculum specialists, education coordinators in preschool programs, childcare directors, and childcare teachers.
Students will complete the essential studies courses and core requirements for the Early Childhood major.
Early Childhood majors must complete 36 hours of essential studies. The following Essential Studies courses are required: COMM 110, ENGL 110, ENGL 120 or ENGL 125, PSYC 111, and SOC 110.
Students are encouraged to take HPER 210 - First Aid and CPR or complete the training locally to be certified in First Aid/CPR.
