Developmental Adapted Physical Education Certificate

The Developmental Adapted Physical Education (DAPE) certificate program prepares students for licensure to teach physical education to students with a wide range of developmental and physical disabilities. DAPE is identified as a teacher shortage area and increases employability within the teaching field. The DAPE certificate offers physical education teacher license majors a certification many school districts currently require or highly recommend for employment. This program leads to certification to instruct students with special needs that meet their individual educational program goals in the physical education/movement setting.
